Vegan chocolate frosting

Vegan chocolate frosting

Ingredients

3 Tbsp of cocoa powder
4 Tbsp of icing sugar
1 Tbsp of Gluten Free Baking Fix
1 Tbsp of rapeseed oil
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 Tbsp of lemon juice
1/2 tsp treacle (adds a distinctive rich, dark flavour to the frosting)
65g water

Method

In a medium size bowl add the icing sugar, cocoa powder, Baking Fix and gently mix well using a balloon whisk. Then add in the oil, vanilla essence and water and mix well until it forms a nice consistency frosting. Add the lemon juice and mix again.

Sample the frosting and adjust to your own taste, adding a little more cocoa powder or sugar if necessary. Apply frosting to your cake.
