Tear & share sausage rolls

For the dough:

250g of Isabel’s dough balls or Kids cheesebread mix

80g grated cheddar cheese

3 Tbsp olive oil

100ml water

2 eggs (about 122g)

Sausages (I used Frankfurters, but I’m sure any other cooked sausage would do as well)

For the topping:

Extra grated cheese for sprinkling on top.

Herbs (Fresh or dried – oregano or chives are perfect)

Pre-heated oven at 200C

Place the dough balls flour mix into a large bowl and make a well in the centre. Then add all the ingredients for making the dough in and mix well until it becomes smooth and pliable dough. You could use the food processor if you have one.

Divide the dough into small pieces and mould them into balls, then roll them into a flat oval shape with a rolling pin.

Place the sausage on the centre of the dough and fold the dough into half. Lightly pinch to seal. Cut the folded dough into 6 – 7 small portions, similar size as that of a mini sausage roll.

Place the shaped dough onto a greased baking sheet leaving a 1cm gap between each roll and press each lightly.

Sprinkle the top of the dough with grated cheese and herbs. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Serve.
