gluten free playdough

This playdough is quick to make and perfect for little fingers as it is soft and easy to mould. Children of all ages love to play with dough.

They can squeeze, twist, pound, pull, poke, punch, shape and cut it. As well as being great fun for modelling and pretend food, it can be a good outlet for a child’s natural feelings of anxiety and frustration. Dough can be used creatively in quiet concentration or lively talk.

This recipe slightly different as it is gluten free, but all the same enjoyable and great for modelling, and it can be pulled and stretched, and we hope you’ll enjoy it!

Gluten free Playdough

Method

You’ll need:

60g of All-purpose Cassava flour
30g of Table salt
1/2 tsp Cream of tartar
20g of vegetable oil
1 tsp of Powder paint or food colouring.
Fragrances can be added with a few drops of natural essential oil (optional, but nice)
110ml water

Method:

In a small non-stick pan, mix all the ingredients together and cook the mixture on a medium heat for approximately 2 minute, mixing constantly until it forms a dough.

Remove from the heat and place it on a firm surface and allow the dough to cool down a little.

Then knead the warm dough for a few seconds until pliable and your playdough is ready for fun.

Keep in airtight container.
