  1. I am gluten, dairy and nut free. Most puds are very bland but the easy pud chocolate was fantadtically moist and scrumsiously delicious.
    I added dairy free orange chocolate chips (took small bar in its packet, bashed with rolling – made own chips) – delicious.
    Have also made it with mint flavoured carob and the background hint of mint just lifts it to posh level – I also added a very small young mint leaf on the top.

  2. Delicious, very easy. I made these in my cake pop maker. Once cooled I piled them carefully on top of each other and dusted with icing sugar… my guests were impressed!!!

  3. Couldn’t be better, I add some chopped up dark chocolate and fold in. I use 3 ramekins, we share one and reheat the others from the fridge in the microwave… day 2 then 3. They are just as good. Lovely. You can also have a layer of cooked fruit like pears with a sponge top. Just be careful the fruit doesn’t spit / hot liquids.

You'll Need

1 pack of Isabel’s Easy Pud Chocolate Mix
1 Large Free-range Egg
2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
65g Sugar
3 Tbsp Milk or Substitute
2 Tbsp Chocolate Chips (optional, but nice)

To make the chocolate dessert vegan you’ll need:

1 pack of Isabel’s Easy Pud Chocolate Mix
50g Mashed Banana or 50g Apple Sauce
2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
65g Sugar
1 Tsp Baking Powder
100ml Soya or Coconut Milk
2 Tbsp Vegan Chocolate Chips


1. Grease a large mug or a pudding basin thoroughly.
2. Empty the pack into a bowl and make a well in the middle. Add the sugar, egg, oil and mix well. Add the milk or substitute and mix well to fomr a lump free batter. (For the vegan 3. method, add all ingredients as above, plus the fruit and baking powder to substitute the egg).
4. Stir through the chocolate chips.
5. Microwave on high (750W) for 1 minute. The [ud should be cooked when springy to the touch. If require place in the microwave for a few more seconds.
6. Serve with ice-cream of sof fruit.

Hints & Tips

This dessert mix is perfect for adding your own creativity.  Why not add toffee-filled chocolate or just a few squares of chocolate to the batter to create a delicious lava pudding, a lovely treat when serve with ice-cream. You could also ad dried fruit, mixed peel, nuts or/and liqueurs to the batter to create a beautiful rich pudding. Storage Cover with cling film and place in the fridge. Eat within 3 days. To re-heat, drizzle a few drops of water over the dessert and place in the microwave on high for 20 seconds.
