“ I would like to congratulate you on the wonderful product the Isabel’s 'Pizza Base mix'. My husband is a former pizzeria cheif and he knows the art of a great pizza. He has mastered your mix to absolute perfection, right through the preparation to the exact cooking process producing that thin crusty base enabling me to enjoy the perfect flavoursome pizza which I have to say is arguably tastier together with the lovely texture than a conventional gluten based pizza. My diet is restricted due a gluten allergy, I am diagnosed ‘Ceoliac’ so when I discover a recipe to such perfection this is gastronomically refreshing and invigorating so therefore once again applause and offer congratulations to your team. “Very best, Sarah

“ Yes its amazing - elastic and crispy. Use one sachet for two pizzas and roll thinly and press the sides to release air. Amazing product - the best gf invention for a long while. “ Ric

“ Best Pizza base we've had by far - tastes "normal". I made the cheese balls up and froze thim in tin foil dishes in 4's with garlic butter on top - almost like a Pizza Express gralic ball - near enough for Josh anyway ! 30 mins in oven from frozen ! Brill ..... “ Joshuas Mummy

We tested them on some non-coeliacs and they were amazed how yummy and light they were.

“ May I salute you for your wonderful cheese bread mix! What a wonderful product and a dream for coeliacs such as myself, who struggle to find decent 'bread' like foods.
I came across your cheese bread mix in the gluten free section of Waitrose in Windsor in April this year whilst I was visiting a friend.
On returning home, I spent an afternoon with my 5 year old niece and nephew making the cheese breads which we all ate as soon as they came out of the oven. They are delicious and allowing them to cool down before eating them proved an impossible task. We ended up scoffing the lot of them! “ Angela, Bury

“ Hi, A few weeks ago I purchased some of your Cheese bread and Pizza base mixes. I have the cheese breads with soup and they are really good. They are also great the following day, I just pop them in a hot oven for a couple of minutes, and have them with ‘too much’ butter but hay.., I deserve it!
But I am really excited by the Pizza Base mix. I have only recently tried it and was really impressed when handling the dough.., it is just like dough made with wheat flour I can shape it in my hands, spin it in my hands an stretch it, its fantastic!
The pizza base mix also makes wonderful garlic bread. I make the dough as per the instructions but use one packet to make a single large ‘bread’ about 33 cm diameter. It is very thin, about 1 - 2mm thick, and I shape it so that it has a thicker crust around the edge. I place it on a flat circular steel pizza tray that has 40 evenly spaced 1cm holes in it. I then mix together a couple of teaspoons of crushed garlic and about the same amount of olive oil and a little dried oregano and brush this onto the dough leaving about a 2-3 cm space around the edge.
I put this into a hot fan oven at 180 0C and bake for about 25 – 30 mins. The edge puffs up and crisps perfectly and the centre has a ‘bubbly’ appearance. The base is nice and crunchy and can be cut into slices with a pizza wheel. My family had this garlic bread last night with some pasta (Mine was GF) that I made and my son, a pizza addict, said “Dad you shouldn’t be eating this it’s got gluten in it’!
This dough is so different to any other GF dough I have made, in that it can be rolled out so thin and still can be ‘handled’, that I am seriously thinking about trying to make ‘puff pastry’ with it! “ Roger George

“Ordered guava jam, thank you so much - really nice product and very quick delivery, made my day as I can't get this product anywere and it certainly put me in good books with my boyfriend lol!“ Carol Wrathmall

“Just to say "thank you" for producing two such wonderful products for coeliacs! I have tried your cheesebreads and pizza base mix and have been amazed. I'm even happier now they are available in my local Waitrose! I will be broadcasting your great products to coeliacs far and wide. Thank you from all of us!“Thirza Parton

“My husband is a Coeliac and misses his "normal tasting" pies and pastries. Although he gets a lot on prescription, eating out and at friends is a problem. We spent the weekend in Bath with our daughter last weekend and she had taken the trouble to buy some of your products on line. The pizza base was fantastic - her dad was MOST impressed - as were the non-coeliac amongst us! The cheese bites were to die for, and the other guests ate them so quickly that we had to save a couple for my husband, who was cooking the BBQ food! Fabulous!” Valerie and John Tucker

“My partner, parents and I have always been impressed by the speedy delivery and the inclusion of other products to sample and are now loyal customers. I have a wheat intolerance and had been craving bread and pizza for a very long time. Your products are the only ones I have ever tasted that match up to the 'real thing' and it is even nicer to be able to share things with my family, rather than have my own 'wheat-free' version.” Rebecca Shaw

“My wife is able to get pizza bases on prescription but they are awful and it was a pleasure to see my wife’s face in Salvos when she tasted yours. ” Steve from Cumbria

“I bought a couple of boxes of the pao de queijo mix from you at the coeliac fair in Penrith back in November. I tried them for the first time yesterday and am absolutely delighted with them. For the first time in far too long, something that actually tastes fantastic and doesn't crumble - thank you so much. ” Dawn from Edinburgh

“I would just like to say that the pizza bases were brilliant. Since then my girlfriend (she of the wheat intolerance) ordered about 5 or 6 boxes, because we love them that much. We just wanted to say thank you on top of that as you put a couple of packets of Cheese breads in there too. Not only is this excellent in terms of customer relations and generally a lovely touch but they were also fab. We served them at a BBQ recently and they went down extremely well.” Anthony Emery

“We made 3 batches of the cheesebreads on the morning of the Open Day, one with just cheese, one with herbs & one with sundried tomatoes. We put out a table with your samples & printouts from the website & they loved it!! So, thanks again, it was really appreciated.” Janet Silver from Liverpool

“Hi, Just to say "thank you" for your speedy service I placed an order with you on Tuesday and it arrived before lunch on Wednesday WOW!! Also I made up the cheese breads and added some Parma ham before cooking they were fab my nephews who were staying ate them faster than I could cook them.” Angela Hedley

“We’ve spent over a year developing a base that tastes like pizza should, explains co-owner Gip Dammone, we tried the mixes and frozen bases already on the market, but none came up to scratch. The solution turned out to be Isabel’s Brazilian bread know-how. Now we are able to offer gluten pizzas which we are really proud of and tastes like pizza should.” Gip Dammone from Salvo’s Italian restaurant

“For people who are intolerant to wheat, this pizza mix is a gift from the gods. As an avid pizza fan I could hardly tell the difference between a normal one and Isabel’s pizza mix. And my Wife was in heaven when she had her first pizza for almost eight years.” Garry Lawrie from Adesso Ristorante Italiano

“Due to increasing awareness of celiac disease and overwhelming requests from our customers we researched the available options for a gluten and wheat free pizza dough mix. Here at Fratellis quality of ingredients is essential and we tried numerous flour mixes to no avail, non came close to our standard flour mix. Then we were told about the Isabel’s Cuisine mix, Isabel was extremely helpful and the mix is truly amazing. We now are proud to offer all customers new and existing a fantastic alternative with our gluten free Pizza and the response has been nothing short of amazing.” Martin Bunce from Fratellis Pizzeria - now Atomic Pizzas!

“I made the pao de queijo yesterday. They are absolutely delicious!” Ann

“just LOVE your pizza base mix; it's the best I've ever tasted!” Claire

“Thin and Crispy Gluten Free Pizza - Yes really! Thanks to the new Pizza Base Mix from Isabel’s Cuisine. This mix was developed by Isabel Gordon in conjunction with Salvos Italian Restaurant in Leeds. We tried it for the first time last week, it was really easy to mix and what's more it stayed in one piece when we rolled it out. You can then pop it straight in the oven, no need to leave it to rise, for about 20 mins then add your topping and cook for another 5 minutes. We added an egg, but if you have an allergy to eggs you can always use the Orgran Natural Egg Replacer. For our topping we used Meridian Organic Tomato and Herb Pasta Sauce, a few olives, sliced tomato and grated cheese. Of course if you wanted to spice things up a bit you could use the Chilli Sauce instead!” Helen

“My daughter is 17 and diagnosed with coeliacs for only 15 months. This pizza base is the first 'normal' tasting GF food she has had. She said it was so much like normal pizza she totally forgot it was GF - in fact she even asked me to double check the box to confirm it was okay!! praise indeed!!!!” GF mummy!

“Brazilian Cheesebreads, Pao de Queijo Mix from Isabel’s Isabel’s Cuisine, which makes up into delicious light cheese breads, which are naturally gluten free. Daughter went back several times to sample more of these! I just love finding new things that my daughter actively enjoys eating, rather than just eating because she needs to eat.” Lucy Nixon of Coeliac Disease Community Wellsphere

“I met you in Penrith at the food fair where I purchased your pizza base. My husband has to have a gluten free diet. We've hunted for a good pizza base for a long time. Paul says your product is the best he's tried and probably better than a 'normal' (wheat) pizza! Thank you Perhaps we can persuade a local shop to stock your products?” Sheena

“I had ordered some of your cheese bread earlier in the year and am just writing to say how lovely it was . We ate some alongside a bowl of soup and I think my husband, who is gluten intolerant, felt totally normal for once. He was still talking about the chesse rolls the next day when I had to point out that I couldn't take credit for them!! Thanks a lot, I'll be definately ordering more soon.” Lynda

“Dear Isabel, I'm inspired to write to say thank you for the best tasting gluten-free pizza base I have ever tasted! It has such a good texture and is chewy - just like it should be and like I remember it before being coeliac. What a treat and thanks again. When you follow a gluten-free diet you miss so many tastes, textures and flavours from before, good pizza is something I had trained myself not to expect to eat again...but now I am sure I will be trying out lots of different toppings. Getting variety into the diet is a problem so its good news when new products that are this good come onto the market.” Sharon from Leeds

“Dear Isabel, It was a pleasure to meet you yesterday at the Coeliac UK AGM food fair. Thank you so much for the packet of cheesebread mix that you gave to my four year old daughter (also called Isabel!) who has only just been diagnosed with coeliac disease. Izzy was so excited about cooking something with her name on it that we made the cheesebreads for lunch today with soup. Izzy was able to do most of it herself, with just a little guidance from me, and the end result was fantastic. She has taken some of the leftovers to her friends 5th birthday party this afternoon - to eat instead of sandwiches at party tea - and has asked for some more to go in her packed lunch tomorrow! The rest of the family thought they were delicious too. We will certainly be ordering more from your website, and look forward to trying the pizza base mix as well.” Hilary and Isabel from Bath

“The whole family really enjoyed the cheesebreads. With 2 coeliacs on gluten-free diets in the family, it was a delightful treat. We shall definitely be ordering more in the future. Many thanks.” Sue and Chris from South Yorkshire

“My husband has recently been diagnosed as coeliac and was disappointed at the bland pizza bases available. Your pizza mix is easy to make and is delicious - I now enjoy them with him and no longer buy separate pizzas for myself. Also, the cheesebreads are easy and delicious.” Elaine Moorby

“Having bought the Brazilian cheese breads and pizza bases to cater for my own gluten free diet, I now find that the whole family is devouring them with gusto. The cheese breads are really delicious made with Emmental cheese and make a great accompaniment to any meal. The pizza bases are really quick and easy to prepare and have a wonderful springy texture that is hard to find in gluten free food. Just add your favourite toppings for a real treat. Thanks for providing a delicious new alternative in my gluten free diet. ” Anne Wray from Harrogate

“Very light, very tasty and very easy to make - Loved by all the family and the local Coeliac Committee who were round for a meeting.” Simon Fuller from Scotland

“Ola Isabel! We’ve tried the jams and ‘Pão de queijo’, they were absolutely fantastic! In fact we already bought some cases of the jam! What about the salad dressings?!?! Any idea when you’re going to start selling them? Let us know as soon as you do, we definitely want to buy some.” Miriam & Richard from Lincoln

“Well what can I say I followed the recipe well almost forgot the water but added it put the cheese too soon BUT what delicious breads. I made supper for the 11 coeliac committee members and we had chilli and flatbread along with enchiladas. It was so easy I would make them again any day fantastic.” Janet Foster from Wolverhampton

“I have finally found time to make the cheesebreads - I found the recipe very easy to follow and the results were more impressive than the frozen version as I found the breads puffed up more. My only complaint is that the breads tasted so good that I ate them all....very greedy of me but I do love them!” Ruth Bowen from Harrogate

“At last I’ve had a chance to try your cheesebread and we very much enjoyed it: we ate it with our Italian bean soup. I was hoping to save some for other members of my family to taste, but it all went in the lunchtime sitting! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to test your product: it is extremely tasty and moreish!” Judith from Bradford

“The instructions were easy to follow, and could the bread could even be made by children with adult supervision. They were delicious with a simple tomato soup for lunch, but the gorgeous smell they left in the kitchen and drifting up the stairs meant the leftovers didn’t make it to tea time!” Julie Clement from Hants

“I was visiting Jane and tasted some of your breads in her house, they were absolutely delicious! Could you please let me know where can I buy some?” Celia Briggs from Lincolnshire

“I have this morning made up the sample batch of cheesebread – wow! It is lovely, fluffy and very light. It is ideal bread for kids to make, so easy and not messy!!! Its ideal for kids to take to party’s or even in their lunch boxes. Ideal also for grown up parties! I love it as something different – an excellent product!” Jacqui

“We had a Coeliac Support Group meeting on Monday and I made the bread. I added the cheese, some herbs and sesame seeds. Everyone enjoyed them. The group had some suggestions about the use of the mix which I thought you might like to hear: Leave out the cheese and then: 1 put a piece of dairy milk chocolate inside before baking to make pain chocolate. 2 Eat them hot covered in chocolate sauce & cream, like profiteroles. 3 Hollow out the dough & put some mincemeat inside to make sausage rolls. The overall opinion was that we really enjoyed them & would really like to try again using the above ideas.” Janet Silver

“We made the cheese breads yesterday, and loved them. They ended up being quite doughy, but I quite liked that. Maybe I should have cooked them a little longer. One son and I loved them being so cheesy, but husband and one son thought maybe a little less cheese would be better (75gm, say). They were certainly very easy to cook, and looked very attractive when they came out of the oven. I liked the fact that the mix was already measured out to make a batch of rolls. Would definitely try them again - would like to try them with herbs or some onion maybe next time.” Jane Barringer from Lincoln

“I cooked the cheesebreads this weekend and we had them with tomato soup - delicious!! We preferred them with a bit of butter rather than on their own.” Jill Walters from Harrogate

“I found the cheesebread very easy to make (and very quick). I personally added mature cheese as I don’t do mild!! I followed the recipe exactly and made the mix into rolls. I cooked in a fan assisted oven. The outside was lovely and crispy. The feedback from the group was as follows: - Yummy! Lush! Delicious! Tasty, cheesy and light! Very good flavour! I personally would purchase this product in the future.” Edith Bass from Bath and West Wilts Group
